Welcome to the Yogahausca Experience

At Sacha Wasi, our retreat seamlessly fuses the traditional use of ayahuasca, an ancient plant medicine used by indigenous communities in the Amazon, with the practice of Tantra Yoga, a discipline with its roots in ancient India.

While most of us think of sex when we think of Tantra Yoga, this ancient practice is actually a powerful combination of asana, mantra, mudra, and bandha (energy lock) and chakra (energy center) work that you can use to build strength, clarity, and bliss in everyday life.

Tantra is a type of yoga that weaves together many different techniques, such as mantra meditation, visualization, mudras, pranayama and initiation to study the inner-universe through our human body. These Tantric techniques and rituals primarily focus on the cultivation and build-up of kundalini energy.

Tantra is a Hindu and Buddhist philosophy which affirms all aspects of the material world as infused with divine feminine power. It is rooted in sacred instructional texts, composed from around the sixth century onwards, called the Tantras.

The fusion of two cultures through the practice of Yoga and Ayahuasca can be viewed as a manifestation of the philosophical idea of unity in diversity. Despite their origins in different parts of the world, these two practices share a common foundation of seeking deeper meaning and understanding of the human experience.

Yoga is not only a physical exercise but also a path to self-discovery and spiritual awakening. The practice of Yoga involves not just the body, but also the mind and spirit, making it a holistic discipline that enables practitioners to access the divine within themselves. Ayahuasca, on the other hand, is a traditional plant medicine that has been used for centuries in Amazonian shamanic practices. It is believed to facilitate a profound spiritual experience that can lead to self-discovery and healing.

Together, these practices can offer a powerful and transformative experience for those seeking to expand their spiritual understanding and connect with their inner selves. The fusion of Yoga and Ayahuasca offers an opportunity for individuals to access a heightened state of awareness and experience the world in a new and profound way.

The practice of Yoga and Ayahuasca is not just a physical experience, but a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth.

The combination of these two practices can provide a holistic approach to healing, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Ultimately, the Yogahausca experience offers a path towards awakening and a deeper understanding of oneself and the world around us.
