  • 6 – 12 Months:
    $4,000 USD per month

This program is an opportunity to go deeper within oneself, connect more fully with Ayahuasca, and learn the teachings of additional master plant teachers of the jungle.

Sacha Wasi offers the more intrepid adventurer a rare opportunity to experience a life-changing, long-term, plant medicine dieta deep within Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest.  Guided by indigenous Kichwa Yachaks, participants can choose dietas lasting up to 9 weeks of full immersions with traditional master plant dietas and shamanic apprenticeships!

All dietas include ceremonies featuring Ayahuasca plus two additional choices – Psilocybin or San Pedro – all with ancestral traditions at the heart of each ceremony taking place in a bamboo maloca surrounded by nature.

This is a plant diet done in isolation and involves a longer-term commitment for those who want to take the next step in their healing journey. In the Kichwa tradition, master plants are considered to be sacred healers and teachers, different plants have knowledge and teachings for different purposes.

Through an isolation diet with a master plant and Ayahuasca, one can receive knowledge of that plant, deepen their own healing, learn how to heal others, and further explore and understand the world of plant medicines.

Master Plants are made into tea from the leaves, flowers, bark, or root of the plant or tree and consumed according to the schedule prescribed by la madre shaman, maestra (master healer).

WHAT HAPPENS ON A MASTER PLANT DIET?

A master plant diet involves a consultation with our head Yachak, who will assess your specific scenario and recommend a plant teacher based on your situation and intentions.

You will then consume some of the plant you wish to diet (usually in the form of a tea), and after that, following a stricter diet than your typical Ayahuasca diet – no salt, sugar, oil, or fats, and no energetic transfers including physical touch or sex.

The Yachak will open your diet with an Ayahuasca ceremony and will connect you to the spirit of your plant, after which you will be able to receive the knowledge and teachings of that plant, both in and out of your ceremonies.

HOW LONG IS THIS PROGRAM?

We do not have fixed slots, we offer this program for as long or little as you desire, and you can begin as soon as you are ready, based on availability. Our pricing structure depends on your desired length of stay and is as follows:

  • 21-day (3-week) Program:  $3000.00
  • 42-day (6-week) Program:  $5500.00
  • 63-day (9-week) Program:  $7500.00

Long-Term (Apprenticeship)

  • 3 – 6 Months:
    $4,500 USD per month
  • 6 – 12 Months:
    $4,000 USD per month

We take payment upfront or in 2 installments for 6+ month commitments.

HOW MANY AYA CEREMONIES WILL I BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN?

For the longer-term dietas, you will actually participate in six to eight ayahuasca ceremonies: the first one where the plants/trees that will be dieted will be revealed to the Yachak, the second one where they will open the dieta, and the last ceremony is where the dieta will be closed at the end of the term. It is important to have the time and space to connect with the plant on its own.

When you do partake in ceremony, you tend to go much deeper due to the very clean diet and the help of your plant teacher, so the ceremonies are more spaced out for you to have time to process and reflect.

CAN I CONNECT WITH OTHER GUESTS?

This program is done in isolation, and you will have your own casita set farther back in the jungle – we do not recommend too much interaction with the groups, as the point of this is to go deeper inward and reflect.

Your meals will be brought to your casita for you each day, and you will have your own amenities such as water, a yoga mat, and art supplies in your room.

We do recommend that you refrain from physical contact, and try not to interact with others in general too much either. We will have facilitators and Yachaks come talk and check on you occasionally, but other than that, connection with others is limited so that you can focus on your plant and your own healing.

Accommodation: At our retreat, guests are welcome to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Amazon rainforest while staying in comfortable and locally-constructed bamboo huts. Our rustic casitas offer all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including high-speed internet, electricity, and hot showers. Guests can enjoy three delicious meals per day, as well as access to laundry facilities.

Our retreat offers a range of accommodation options, including both private and shared casitas, allowing guests to choose the option that best suits their needs.

In between ceremonies, guests are invited to explore the stunning surroundings and embark on adventures in the heart of the Amazon. From river canoeing and jungle hikes to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the rainforest, there is something for everyone at our retreat. Our backyard is the perfect place for guests to connect with nature and deepen their spiritual journey.

Food: At Sacha Wasi, guests can savor the flavors of authentic Ecuadorian and Kichwa cuisine at our outdoor Comedor (dining hall). With the tranquil flow of the river just steps away, each meal is a sensory experience unlike any other.

Each day starts with a cup of traditional tea made from leaves and roots harvested from the Amazon jungle, providing a true taste of the local culture. Our meals are prepared with love and joy by the women of the Kichwa community and are designed to meet a range of dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and meals with meat.

FAQs

What is ayahuasca and how does it work?

For centuries, ayahuasca has been used to open the door of spiritual exploration and healing. This potent plant medicine originates from South American cultures in which it was celebrated for its ability to aid personal growth and offer powerful insights through a unique combination of compounds including DMT – an active psychoactive ingredient. Ayahuasca is an ancient natural remedy that continues offering profound effects on body, mind, heart & soul.

Ayahuasca is a powerful shamanic brew renowned for its ability to unlock the secrets of your inner self. Consuming it can open up doors to visions and intense emotions, lasting up to 8 hours – all while connecting you with spiritual realms. While the journey may be daunting, those who make this personal investment often find themselves rewarded; many report feeling peace, clarity, and newfound insight after ingesting ayahuasca – helping them overcome life challenges or gain perspective on their purpose in life!
